It’s the battle of the lovelorn versus the amateur cook and it’s a clear win for the desperate and dateless.

Once again Nine’s Married At First Sight dominated its rival, Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, last night.

MAFS was the most watched show of Wednesday, posting an impressive 1.027 million viewers. By contrast, MKR posted its worst-ever numbers, managing just 789,000.

Yet, arguably the biggest loser out of all the reality show’s was 10’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here (569,000) that continues to shed viewers to its rivals.

Unsurprisingly, Nine won Wednesday with 30.9 per cent audience share. Seven wasn’t far behind with 28.4 per cent. The ABC and 10 both had 16.4 per cent each and SBS pulled 7.8 per cent.

Nine’s other highlights included its 6pm news (913,000), ACA (687,000), New Amsterdam (608,000) and Hot Seat (440,000).

For Seven, its best was its 6pm news with 965,000, followed by MKR (789,000), The Chase (569,000) and Undercurrent: Real Murder Investigation (404,000).

For 10, its standouts were I’m A Celeb (569,000), 10 News First (430,000) and The Project (412,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (755,000), 7.30 (687,000), Hard Quiz (600,000), Rosehaven (456,000) and Would I Lie To You (304,000).
