Wednesday TV Wrap: Gruen’s Lucky Thirteenth Season Premiere Brings The ABC A Bronze

Last night, the ABC’s thirteenth premiere episode of Gruen was certainly not an unlucky start to the season.

The ep had 657,000 viewers, putting it second in the entertainment ratings after The Block, which had 898,000 viewers.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,026,000 viewers, while Seven also had Home and Away with 578,000, The Chase with 526,000 and the reunion ep of SAS Australia with 474,000.

Along with The Block, Nine’s night saw Nine News nab 937,000 viewers while A Current Affair had 737,000, Hot Seat had 428,000, Tipping Point had 309,000, Love Island Australia had 292,000, and the arvo news had 288,000.

For the ABC, ABC News came in just below Gruen with 644,000 viewers while Hard Quiz netted 552,000 viewers and 7.30 scored 537,000.

Finally, for 10, The Project had 406,000 viewers and 10 News First had 316,000.

In terms of the daily share, the Nine Network won the night with 29.5 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network with 26.8 per cent.

Third was the ABC TV Network at 17.3 per cent, followed by Network 10 with 16.1 per cent and the SBS Network with 10.3 per cent.

Looking now to OzTAM’s total TV report for Wednesday October 6, once again, it was Seven News, The Block and Nine News leading the pack.

They had audiences of 1,585, 000 (metro: 984,000, regional: 566,000, BVOD: 35,000), 1,504,000 (metro: 894,000, regional: 337,000, BVOD: 182,000) and 1,286,000 (metro: 948,000, regional: 305,000 and BVOD: 33,000) respectively.

This time, the show with the highest lift on overnight was the ABC’s Frayed which had a 47 per cent lift, bringing it to a total audience of 474,000 (metro: 229,000, regional: 94,000, BVOD: 76,000).
