Wednesday TV Wrap: The Bachie Boots The Block, But Nine Hangs In For The Win

The ‘Honey Badger’ has again triumphed over Scott Cam and crew as The Bachelor (884,000) saw off The Block (870,000) in a tight TV tussle last night.

Nine still won Wednesday with 28.8 per cent. Seven took silver with 26.9 per cent. Ten took the bronze with 21.1 per cent. The ABC took whatever it is they give for fourth, pulling 16.6 per cent and SBS had 6.6 per cent.

News was the most watched category of the evening, with Seven’s 6pm bulletin (980,000) the most watched show of the night. Nine’s version came second with 921,000.

Nine’s other highlights included ACA (831,000), Bite Club (469,000) and Hot Seat (461,000).

For Seven, its night ran thus: Home And Away (650,000), Motorbike Cops (565,000), Highway Patrol (585,000), The Chase (547,000) and 9-1-1 (459,000).

The Bachelor aside, Ten’s standouts were The Project (513,000) and the repeat of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding (314,000).

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news pulled in 689,000, Anh’s Brush With Fame had 665,000, The Weekly With Charlie Pickering had 651,000 and 7.30 had 565,000.

Over at the SBS, its best was a repeat of Great British Railway Journeys and was the 33rd most watched show of the night and enjoyed 213,000 trainspotters.
