Wednesday TV Wrap: The Block, Gruen & The Bachelorette Rule On Quiet Night

The Block was again the standout on a quiet night of Wednesday viewing numbers.

The reno show was the most watched entertainment show of the night, posting 804,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Elsewhere, The Bachelorette had an okay-ish 593,000 and Seven’s best non-news effort was Home And Away with 542,000.

Nine snuck home for a Wednesday night win with 29.4 per cent audience share (all channels). Seven had to settle for second and 27.7 per cent, 10 had 18.7 per cent, the ABC did 16.2 per cent and SBS managed 8.1 per cent on the back of Struggle Street (249,000).

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 888,000. Nine’s news had 773,000 and ACA did 672,000.

Also at Seven, The Good Doctor did 477,000, The Chase had 478,000 and Highway Patrol pulled 446,000.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (277,000) ate Today (163,000).

Other doers for 10 included The Project (407,000) and 10 News First (309,000).

For the ABC, Gruen was again its most-watched, posting 587,000. Its 7pm news did 577,000, 7.30 had 466,000, Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery pulled 438,000 and Frayed did 310,000.
