“Zap Was Close!” Weather Guy Narrowly Escapes Death From Exploding Powerlines

A TV weather reporter has had one of those ‘too close for comfort’ moments while reporting live to air in the middle of a category four hurricane.

KSAT TV’s meterologist Justin Horne was reporting from Houston in the middle of hurricane Laura that is currently battering the US Gulf Coast and has so far left four people dead.

Horne was reporting on falling trees hitting powerlines when exactly that happened, causing a massive explosion and lighting up a tree only metres behind the dogged TV reporter.

Thankfully, no one was injured and a very wet and very lucky Horne battled on with his live report.
