Virgin Mobile has turned to digital transformation specialist Datarati to implement and manage its marketing automation and CRM business following a pitch.

Sydney headquartered Datarati is Asia Pacific’s fast growing customer journey and experience agency and is headed by former general manager of marketing for Telstra’s small and medium businesses, Jarther Taylor (right in photo), who was named CEO earlier this year.

In addition to implementing Virgin Mobile’s marketing and CRM platforms, Datarati will provide ongoing campaign management across all stages of the telcos customer lifecycles including on-boarding, engagement, retention and requisition of lapsed customers.

Bridie Smith (left in photo), associate director of customer marketing and insights at Virgin Mobile said: “We were impressed with Datarati’s approach to our brief and their vision for delivering on our customer first strategy. We are very much looking forward to developing a long-term relationship with a team of digital and data-driven marketers to lead in marketing automation and CRM.”

Taylor added: “Our goal is to put the Virgin Mobile customer at the centre of everything we do and we’re really looking forward leading their digital and data transformation program to deliver on that goal.”

Following another competitive pitch, Nexus Holidays selected Datarati to drive the strategy, implementation and management of their customer journeys across Asia Pacific to create a richer and more personalised experience for their clients.

China based Nexus Holidays is a global tour operator with 15 offices worldwide. Together with Datarati, Nexus will roll out a series of programmes to help their clients better plan, purchase and experience their international travel.

Derek Lam, assistant general manager at Nexus Holidays said: “We found Datarati’s approach in developing a cohesive customer journey strategy and subsequent implementation plan to be unique in the market. It is exactly what we need to deliver five-star travel experiences at four-star prices and we are excited to be partnering with the leaders in marketing and CRM.”

Taylor added: “We are thrilled to have been selected by Nexus Holidays and look forward to supporting them on their digital transformation journey.”
