VERSA Officially Launches And Sets Sights On International Expansion

Today marks the official launch of VERSA, the digital design and voice experience (VX) powerhouse.

Merging the capabilities of one of Australia’s largest independent digital experience and design agencies, Deepend Melbourne Pty Ltd with first to market and leading voice experience (VX) agency, VERSA.

Now merged under the single VERSA brand, Deepend Melbourne originally launched VERSA in 2017 as the first enterprise level VX agency in Australia.

Quickly establishing itself as a pioneering and innovative force in the developing VX market, VERSA scooped Emerging Agency of the Year at the B&T Awards in 2018.

VERSA founder and CEO Kath Blackman said: “This is an extremely exciting new venture and one that establishes VERSA as an expanded yet truly independent agency sitting at the forefront of where marketing and technology meet.

“We are experts in building robust, future-proofed and large-scale digital platforms for clients that take full advantage of the possibilities offered by AI, augmented reality and voice technology.”

With the growth of devices such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa, VERSA has identified voice experience as essential for a brand’s ongoing ability to connect with customers in a market where it’s predicted that 30 per cent of all web-browsing sessions will be done without a screen by 2020.

Bringing together an interdisciplinary team of 50+ creatives, strategists and technological specialists, VERSA is uniquely positioned to push the possibilities of voice and AI.

“We’re new and improved. The VERSA culture is exceptionally special and I’d go so far to say as unrivalled – it’s about passion, innovation and expertise. Essentially, we’re about connecting with customers in more meaningful ways to make businesses more successful,” said MD, Jonny Clow.

Clow recently took the MD helm at VERSA following a highly awarded local and international career working for iconic brands across the UK, USA and Australia.

Recently client services director at VMLY&R, and with 20 years in the industry and a host of awards to his name, Clow is passionate about VERSA forging a path of continued digital and VX innovation.

Recent management level talent acquisitions by VERSA also include technical director Guill Rodas. Rodas joined the business following 10 years at Isobar, attracted to make the move to its highly collaborative culture and the cutting-edge technology the agency is exploring.

Experiencing year on year revenue growth at 46 per cent and with an enviable portfolio of diverse and leading brands including beyondblue, Dairy Australia, Nova, Village Cinemas, Domino’s, nib, Red Cross and Scenic; VERSA is perfectly poised to set the pace for VX innovation and large-scale digital design in Australia and internationally.
