Death threats over Tecoma's anti-Macca's protest

The protest over McDonald’s proposed Tecoma restaurant has reached a new low with pro-Maccas campaigners lobbying death threats at a protestor.

Dave Hooper, the founder of protest website burgeroff.org has received threatening phone calls and death threats since his personal details were published on a pro-McDonald’s Facebook page.

Police are now investigating an email that threatened to bomb Hooper’s home and a “Let’s Kill Him” Facebook comment has also been referred to police, according to Fairfax papers.

Hooper’s contact details were published on the pro-McDonald’s Facebook page earlier this year after they found the details he needed to share to register his burgeroff.org site.

Those details have since been republished.

A change.org petition against the Tecoma based outlet has more than 73,600 signatures.

Protesters are readying themselves for the fast-food chain’s bulldozers which they believe are coming in just days.
