VML Australia is behind Commonwealth Bank’s first website redesign in seven years.
The new site features responsive design so users across desktop, tablet and mobile all receive the best possible experience for their device.
There is a new navigation system, designed to be simple and to speed up access to the site’s most commonly-used features.
Aden Hepburn (pictured), VML Australia’s managing director and creative head, said: “CommBank isn’t just the number one bank in Australia – it’s one of the top few in the world, so we started by assembling a bespoke team using VML’s best talent from both Australia and across the globe to ensure we could deliver the world class digital experience you’d expect from the Commonwealth Bank.
“The new CommBank site had to be responsive and had to be best in class, if not the world. So what you’ll see is an experience you wouldn’t normally expect from a bank. And that’s exciting.”
The new site, which is live now, was a year in the making.
Drew Unsworth, general manager for online banking at CommBank, said: “CommBank.com.au is one of Australia’s most visited websites and it’s therefore essential that it connects with consumers more directly to give them greater control and access to information that enables them to make informed financial decisions that are relevant to the life stage they are at. What’s more this experience needs to be tailored to their needs, serving content that’s applicable to them and not a ‘one size fits all approach.”
