AIMIA Awards finalists revealed

Finalists for the AIMIA Awards have been announced, with 130 entries making it to the shortlist in 22 categories.

The awards, now in their 19th year and held in March, celebrate the best of Australia’s digital content, services and apps, and includes a People’s Choice Award, open for voting from January 31.

Chirman of judges Paul McCarthy said there had been an impressive growth in the smartphone and tablet entries this year, especially in the app category, as well as the innovation of many entries.

He said:  “There has been outstanding work in application development produced by and for an array of organisations. We’ve seen a diverse range of brilliant app entries from companies such as Fairfax Digital, ABC, Hungry Jack's and St George Bank.”

Outdoor technology was also an area he said had grown strongly, highlighting the GE Two Words for Tomorrow and Lynx’s Invisible Ad as standouts.
