In what could’ve arguably been mistaken from a scene from a Borat film, a Ukrainian refugee has become a viral smash after asking a concerned Sky News reporter, “Is cannabis legal in Great Britain?”
The reporter, dressed in flak jacket and helmet, was interviewing refugees escaping the violence in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. The reporter explained how the people appeared “very stressed” before asking a young man: “Are you alright?”
The man replies: “I’m alright.”
She then asks: “How many people are trapped in there?”
The young chap then muttered: “I smoke weed, legalise, 420. American?”
The reporter then clarified that she was, in fact, British, before asking, “How many more…”, but she is interrupted by the man.
He then says: “Is cannabis legalised in Great Britain?”
Despite the stress of the situation, the reporter laughed off the remark before adding: “I’m glad that’s all you’re thinking about.” Check it out below:

As these things do, footage of the incident soon made it onto social media and quickly racked up over 700,000 viewers. People loving the young chap’s commitment.
“He’s so stressed he needs a joint,” joked one.
“The most important question before you emigrate,” another said, while another added: “I love how he is weighing up his choices of [his] next location.”
“I got to admit I probably would have that on my mind too,” said another.
