The laser tattoo removal and fade services brand Removery has appointed Ubiquity Lab as its Australian PR agency.

Headquartered in Austin Texas, the company had expanded into over 50 locations across the globe. It has recently bought its market-leading tattoo removal business to Australia.

Removery was born from the partnership of four of North America’s largest and most trusted tattoo removal brands. It is the largest specialised provider of laser tattoo removal and fading services in the world.

Removery plans to have more than 250 tattoo removal clinics across Australia and North America within the next five years.

Removery co-founder Chris Chambers said: “We’re excited to see Removery launch in Australia. The demand for quality and effective tattoo removal and fade services is growing exponentially.

“People will now be able to remove tattoos from their bodies effectively — whether it’s fading or complete removal of unwanted work, or making room for new art.

“Removery has ambitious growth plans and will look to expedite its retail footprint over the next year – particularly across the eastern seaboard with several store launches to be announced soon in VIC, NSW and QLD.

“Earned media is an absolutely critical part of the strategy, and we’re excited to partner with the ULab team to build our brand and create a new category.”

ULab’s Director of PR & communications, Kirilly Mallard, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with Removery. They’re a global category disrupter with impressive growth plans.

“We’re thrilled to help ensure ‘Removery’ becomes part of Australia’s tattoo removal vernacular. “For too long, there’s been a disconnect between corporate affairs and marketing.

“Our data-led model has really resonated with clients who want one best-in-class agency that can integrate a sophisticated marcomms strategy.

“We’ve been offering ad hoc PR and comms support for some time, but overwhelming client demand led us to accelerate the official launch our PR division.

“Our Removery win, along with several other clients to be announced imminently, has fuelled our growth.”
