Google can now interpret emojis via its Twitter handle. If you want to know where the nearest burger joint is, simply tweet an emoji to @Google and the service will respond with a GIF and a link for local search results.
Google says the feature will work with over 200 different emoji for food, sites and activities near you. It’s also promising some “easter eggs.”

The feature isn’t completely foolproof. There are emojis that Google does not recognise:
@blackbayr ? Hmm. Let’s try another emoji. Here’s a clue: #KnowNearby

@AkhilSaroch? Hmm. Care to try another? Hint: #KnowNearby

Brands have eagerly jumped on the emoji bandwagon, but a United Kingdom YouGov survey has found that the majority of millennials think brands using emojis in their advertising are trying too hard.
