TV Week Has Put Down Its Glitter Gun & Will No Longer Manage TV’s Most Glam Night The Logies

Get out the tissues because after six decades TV Week will no longer manage The Logies Awards – yes that’s right!

TV Tonight reported the heartbreaking news and clarified that while TV Week will no longer run the event it will remain an official partner – so it’s not truly over!

However, the partnership will seemingly be more hands-off than hands-on. The event will be managed externally by Rizer.

The decision does truly highlight the end of an era.

TV Week saw the Logies through it’s biggest moments from Bert Newton hosting to Tom Gleeson offending Amanda Keller in his bid to win gold. Hell, TV Week was managing The Logies during the era where Rove was king of television – remember that? And Osher Gunsberg was known as Andrew G!

However, not everything is changing! Nine will still be broadcasting the event after two-year hiatus because of the pandemic. So yes, the glamour will continue! And honestly here at B&T, we couldn’t be more excited!

Fingers crossed the tradition of an American celebrity coming that has no idea who anyone is will continue! Katy Perry anyone?
