TV Reporter Goes Viral After Asking A Dead Man For Comment

A US TV reporter has gone viral after she delivered this absolute clanger live to air: “We tried to reach out to the man who died in this pursuit, they were unavailable for comment.”

KLTA journalist Sara Welch was reporting live on a fatal pursuit in South California where the deceased was allegedly shot at a staggering 64 times by police.

And, as tends to happen with these sorts of stuff-ups, Welch’s gaffe has gone viral. Here’s a pick of some of the social media comments:

“If you died laughing she might interview you.”

“When you’re the reporter who goes the extra mile to get a comment, even if you don’t expect to get a response.”

“At least they followed proper journalism protocol.”
