It was all eyes on the queen of the jungle last night as Lioness Maya underwent life threatening surgery to remove a fractured tooth.

The high stakes surgery on Taronga’s Who’s Who In The Zoo did the numbers for Nine, raking in a total TV national reach of 1,332,000 and a national average of 556,000.

It was clearly a quiet night on television all round with a repeat episode of The 1% Club (UK) taking out the top spot among non-news programs with a total TV national reach of 1,571,000 and a national average audience of 937,000.

Ultimately, Seven News took out the top spot for the night with a total TV national reach of 1,971,000 and a national average audience of 1,211,000. Nine News fell just behind with a total TV national reach of 1,823,000 and a national average audiences of 1,099,000.
