“Turkey Comes And Goes” Says KFC’s Wonderfully Oddball New Christmas Ad

“Turkey Comes And Goes” Says KFC’s Wonderfully Oddball New Christmas Ad

Sure, it may have utterly run out of the stuff in its now infamous fail back in February, but KFC UK is back using its Christmas message to reinforce the chicken chain’s all about chicken.

In a witty festive spot from its London agency Mother – that could possibly upset the vegetarians – we see a chicken stare down its more fabled festive meat, the turkey, in a western-styled film shot in the snow.

As the duelling birds face-off with one another, the ad says: “Turkey come and goes, but chicken’s here to stay.”

Check out the feathery action below:

Commenting on the spot, Hermeti Balarin, partner at Mother, said: “There’s only one day of the year in which you can’t get your favourite fried chicken, KFC. And that’s the 25th of December. Chicken rules the roost on the other 364 days.”

Monica Pool, marketing director of KFC UK & Ireland, added: “We close our restaurants on the 25th allowing turkey to have its moment in the sun. Every other day of the year, you needn’t worry, KFC will be there.”
