Tuesday TV Wrap: Wimbledon Proves An Ace For Seven

Seven may have copped some flak this morning for preferencing Nick Kyrgios’ match over world number one, Ash Barty’s, but its Wimbledon coverage was enough to give the broadcaster a Tuesday night win.

7TWO’s tennis coverage reached a high of 292,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers, an impressive result given the late night time slot.

Seven enjoyed 31.3 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine had 28.7 per cent, 10 had a neat eighteen, the ABC pulled 12.6 per cent and SBS did 9.4 per cent.

The network also had the most watched show of the night with its 6pm news (1.092 million). Other standouts included The Chase (653,000), Home And Away (649,000), House Rules (563,000) and Andrew Denton’s Interview (400,000).

10 did well with MasterChef (645,000), The Project (458,000), 10 News First (387,000) and Todd Sampson’s Bodyhack (304,000).

Nine’s doers were its 6pm news (933,000), ACA (778,000), Hot Seat (566,000) and a repeat of The Big Bang Theory (270,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (256,000) beat Today (200,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (633,000), 7.30 (485,000) and Ask The Doctor (307,000).

SBS’ best was Every Family Has A Secret that managed 252,000.
