Tuesday TV Wrap: Survivor Finale Tops A Million

10’s Survivor has capped off an impressive season with last night’s finale pulling 1.040 million for the announcement of the actress Pia Miranda as the series’ winner.

While some 923,000 tuned in for the episode proper according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Still, it wasn’t Block viewers deserting Nine’s reno show to watch Survivor, it still managed an impressive 857,000. However, SeaChange was down, it pulled just 494,000.

Nine won the night with 28.3 per cent audience share (all channels). Seven took 24.9 per cent, 10 did 22.6 per cent, the ABC had 17 per cent and SBS had 7.2 per cent.

10’s other standouts included The Project (530,000) and 10 News First (371,000).

Seven’s best was its 6pm news (1.053 million), Home And Away (633,000), The Chase (614,000), Border Security (458,000) and The Force – Behind The Line (458,000).

Nine did well with its 6pm news (914,000), ACA (791,000) and Hot Seat (507,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (285,000) flogged Today (185,000).

Over at the ABC, its evening ran thus: 7pm news (658,000), Old People’s Home For Four Year Olds (546,000), 7.30 (529,000) and Foreign Correspondent (389,000).

Britain’s Most Historic Towns did the business for SBS. It managed 216,000.
