Australian Survivor has had its best year of ratings to date, with last night’s finale – won by Shane Gould – pulling 877,000 viewers and up on 2017’s numbers.
But yet again it was The Block (929,000) doing the damage for Nine and handing the network a Tuesday night win. Nine had 28.3 per cent of the audience share, followed by Seven with 25 per cent, Ten had 22.6 per cent, the ABC had 17.3 per cent and SBS pulled 6.9 per cent.
Nine’s other highlights were its 6pm news (859,000), ACA (772,000), True Story With Hamish And Andy (566,000) and Hot Seat (437,000).
Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 953,000. Seven’s other standouts were Home And Away (539,000), The Chase (559,000), Queen Of The World (533,000) and The Resident (299,000).
Survivor aside, Ten’s shows of note were The Project (512,000), Eyewitness News (374,000) and Pointless (240,000).
The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (716,000), Exposed: The Case of Keli Lane (572,000), 7:30 (531,000), Ask the Doctor (441,000) and Tick F***ing Tock (362,000).
