ABC’s dark horse of the entertainment TV world, Old People’s Home For 4 Year Olds, has proved to be one of the best performing Tuesday shows of recent weeks.
On Tuesday night, it netted 637,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data, making it the second-best non-news show of the night after Lego Masters.
Perhaps most significantly, it resoundingly beat both 10 and Seven’s flagship entertainment shows MasterChef and Big Brother, which had 517,000 and 515,000 viewers respectively.
Old People’s Home For 4 Year Olds is broadcast at 8.30, while the three of the aforementioned reality programs start at 7.30.
Lego Masters performed fairly consistently, netting 700,000 viewers, thought felt a drop off of 25,000 from last week’s timeslot.
In top spot was Seven News with 981,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 952,000. A Current Affair nabbed 695,000 while ABC News had 609,000.
Seven’s Home and Away had 593,000 viewers while The Chase had 533,000 and The Good Doctor had 299,000.
Sandwiched between Home and Away and The Chase was Anh’s Brush With Fame. The eponymous Anh interviewed author Tara Moss to 545,000 viewers. Also on the ABC was 7.30 with 526,000.
For Nine, Hot Seat scored 478,000, while 10 had The Project with 435,000 viewers and 10 News First had 363,000.
The Nine Network again just beat the Seven Network for control of the daily share with 28 per cent to 27 per cent. In third was the ABC Network with 18 per cent, beating Network 10, which had 17 per cent.
Finally, the SBS Network had seven per cent.
