Tuesday TV Wrap: News Dominates As Viewers Feast On CV-19 Latest

Proof viewers are hungry for the latest coronavirus news, saw current affairs featuring in eight of last night’s top 10 shows.

The exceptions were the high soaring MAFS (1.31 million metro viewers) that was the third most-watched show of the night. While Seven’s The Chase (638,000) came in in the tenth position.

Sunrise also benefitted from everyone self-isolating, it pulled an impressive 333,000 yesterday morning.

Nine easily won the night with 35.2 per cent of the eyeballs (all channels). Seven had 24.2 per cent, the ABC had 18.9 per cent, 10 did 13.4 per cent and SBS managed 8.2 per cent.

Other standouts for Nine included its 6pm news (1.23 million), ACA (913,000) and a COVID-19 News Special (759,000).

Over at 10, its standouts were The Project (581,000) and 10 News First (521,000).

Seven’s best was its 6pm news bulletin with 1.256 million. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back had 401,000 and then, of course, Sunrise’s impressive numbers.

For the ABC, its 7pm news just missed out on a rare million-mark, posting 966,000. 7.30 did 772,000, Foreign Correspondent had 676,000 and Revelation did 420,000.
