Tuesday TV Wrap: The Masked Singer Sings! Britain’s Canals Does It For SBS

It appears Australia is home to a number of canal enthusiasts after 270,000 viewers tuned in to watch Building Britain’s Canals on SBS last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Still, watery ditches weren’t a patch on 10’s triumphant The Masked Singer which was again the most-watched show of the night as 1.007 million viewers watched Paulini and Deni Hines revealed as last night’s semi finalists.

Nine won Tuesday with 28.4 per cent of the audience share (all channels). It was almost a dead heat between Seven and 10, Seven taking the honours 23.5 per cent to 23.4 per cent. The ABC did 15.2 per cent and Canals gave SBS an impressive 9.6 per cent.

Seven did well with its 6pm news (891,000), Home And Away (570,000) and The Chase (520,000). However, Bride And Prejudice (406,000) continues to disappoint.

10’s other highlights included The Project (466,000) and 10 News First (333,000).

Nine’s The Block had 844,000, Nine’s 6pm news did 766,000 and Hot Seat had 432,000.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (284,000) slaughtered Today (182,000).

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (602,000), 7.30 (497,000) and Foreign Correspondent (386,000).
