Tuesday TV Wrap: Home And Away Tops Entertainment, But Ninja Warriors Beats MasterChef & Big Brother

Seven’s Home and Away Took out top spot in the entertainment category, scoring 650,000 viewers according to OzTAM’s metro data.

It was followed by The Chase, which had 597,000 viewers.

Both rated better than the networks’ flagship entertainment programs, which were scheduled for the prime-time slot of 7.30pm.

Nine’s Australian Ninja Warriors came out best of that particular race with 588,000 viewers. Big Brother was next with 568,000 viewers and in third was MasterChef with 561,000.

The ABC’s 7.30 (obviously also airing at the same time) had 543,000 viewers.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,105,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 972,00 viewers, A Current Affair with 733,000 and ABC News with 694,000.

Another notable moment was the SBS’s emergence onto the top twenty most-watched telly list with an ep of Who Do You Think You Are? featuring Denise Drysdale. It scored 344,000 viewers.

The rest of the ABC’s night had Anh’s Brush With Fame with 523,000 viewers while Finding The Archibald had 401,000 viewers.

For Nine, Hot Seat had 487,000 while The Weakest Link re-emerged in the top 20 most-watched with 349,000 viewers.

For 10, The Project had 416,000 viewers while 10 News First had 343,000.

The Seven Network won overall with 28.9 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 27.1 per cent of the daily share. In third was Network 10 with 18.8 per cent, followed by the ABC Network with 16.1 per cent and the SBS Network with 9.1 per cent.
