Tuesday TV Wrap: MAFS Fans Don’t Exactly Jump Ship To Bachelor In Paradise

Tuesday TV Wrap: MAFS Fans Don’t Exactly Jump Ship To Bachelor In Paradise

Following the phenomenal success that was this season’s MAFS, 10 would have had high expectations for its own reality dating show, Bachelor In Paradise.

However, it debuted to rather modest numbers last night, posting 553,000 according to overnight OzTAM metro data.

Admittedly, the show’s brand new and will no doubt prove a grower for 10. Debuting it during the week and not on a Sunday would’ve also impacted its numbers.

MAFS departure proved good news for Seven’s MKR last night. It pulled 854,000.

All this meant Seven won Tuesday by a whisker with 29.4 per cent audience share. Nine took 28.3 per cent, 10 had 17.7 per cent, the ABC had 16.2 per cent and SBS 8.4 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.05 million. Other highlights for the network were Home And Away (666,000), The Chase (602,000) and Gordon Gino And Fred: The Ultimate Roadtrip (326,000).

Nine’s night ran thus: 6pm news (907,000), ACA (799,000), The Big Bang Theory (571,000), Hot Seat (533,000), a repeat of The Big Bang Theory (469,000) and Guardians Of The Galaxy (355,000).

Meanwhile, the ABC’s Tuesday ran this way: 7pm news (662,000), 7.30 (574,000), Foreign Correspondent (404,000) and Employable Me (355,000).
