Triple M Breakfast EP Promoted To Music Director For Brisbane

Southern Cross Austereo-owned radio network Triple M has announced the promotion of Scott Menz to music director for Brisbane.

Menz was previously the executive producer of Triple M Brisbane’s breakfast show – a role he has held for three years.

Alongside his new role as music director, Menz will retain his duties as assistant content director.

Menz replaces Ben Wood as Triple M Brisbane’s music director, who recently moved south to take on a new gig as operations manager at Triple M Melbourne.

Prior to working at Triple M Brisbane, Menz has held roles at Nova in Melbourne, Star 104.5 on the NSW Central Coast and Triple M Adelaide.

Rex Morris, content director at Triple M Brisbane, said: “Scott works brilliantly with all personality types both on and off the air, and enjoys a deep respect from all his team members.

“He has been an integral part of the show’s most recent record-breaking success, and so this promotion is richly deserved.”

Menz’s promotion tops off a big couple of weeks for Triple M, with the station and its breakfast show both topping the most recent radio ratings for the first time in 12 years.

Menz will wrap up his duties on The Big Breakfast with Marto, Robin & The Moonman at the end of the year, while Triple M has begun a search for his replacement.
