Tracey Grimshaw’s emotions got in the way of her usual straight journalism style as she broke down in tears after viewing the Queen’s coffin.
After viewing the Queen’s coffin, Grimshaw emotionally broke down at Westminister Hall during a live broadcast.
Looking visibly distressed, Grimshaw wiped tears away and said: “I’m going to take a moment. After all these years and she’s still doing her duty. And I really think she’d just like to get back to her husband.”
Grimshaw went on to explain that viewing the Queen’s coffin was, “moving,” and admitted that she got overwhelmed by her emotions.
Grimshaw said: “I was going to come out and be all journalistic and give you all the history of the building and the history of the Queen’s association with that building, but I’m not going to do that.
“I’m going to take a moment.”
Tonight, the heart-warming moment Tracy Grimshaw was left in tears after leaving Westminster Hall.
