UM Sydney has hired two of Australia’s media stars, Max Broer (pictured left) and David Toussaint (right), as strategy directors. Both have already achieved wide recognition in industry awards forums.
“David and Max will elevate our strategy capabilities immensely, not just because they are top of the class executives, but they each have greatly varied experiences in their previous roles that complement our creative connections positioning,” said UM Australia chief strategy officer Sophie Price (pictured above centre).
Toussaint joins UM Sydney as strategy director on Coca-Cola. He was most recently at MediaCom Australia as a strategy director on FMCG clients.
He has been a national finalist for Cannes Young Lions and was named in a current 30 under 30 talent listing. He also worked for MediaCom London as a content strategist on Volkswagen and the Coca Cola portfolio where he contributed to work for Dr. Pepper that was awarded as one of the top social campaigns of the year.
Broer most recently worked at Match Media where he was a communications strategist working across a diverse range of clients including IKEA, HCF, RAMS, NRMA and NSW Government. He has twice been a finalist for Cannes Young Lions and for the past two years he has been co-chair of the industry NGEN committee. At UM Sydney he will be working on clients including Virgin Mobile.
“We are truly looking forward to the perspectives and creativity that both Max and David will bring to our work,” said Price.
“Both have made their marks as stand-out talents and we have ensured they have plenty of scope to broaden their careers in their new assignments.”
