Australia’s leading sustainable period care brand TOM Organic is proud to unveil its TOM Talks Panel — a dynamic group of women who are experts in their fields, to inspire and educate on all areas of menstrual health and wellness.
Consisting of homecook superstar Jessica Nguyen, writer and curator Sabina McKenna, certified sex coach Georgia Grace, Hormone Health Studio’s Georgia Hartmann and podcast-pro Melissa Mason, the period panel will share their sage advice and honest learnings with the TOM Organic community.
After identifying a gap in the period-care space, TOM Organic enlisted the help of these five brilliant humans to empower and educate the TOM community from a holistic approach. Instead of focusing on the obvious bleeding part of a cycle, the TOM Talks Panel will be addressing each phase and all that is associated, giving the TOM community the knowledge and resources to optimise their health and wellbeing every step of the way.
Over the next nine months, the expert panel of industry supernovas will be covering all bases of periods, intimacy, mental health and self-care, and how they intersect via informative Instagram takeovers, detailed blog posts, personal social media posts and more.
The first of the five powerhouse women is Instagram’s favourite home cook Jessica Nguyen. With an innate ability to reinvigorate classic recipes and capture their appeal through the lens of her phone, Jessica’s Instagram content triggers the desire to get into the kitchen in even the most cooking averse. Having self-started a momentous career and community of her very own, she’s a creative with grit and impressive imagination.
Jessica will be sharing her most indulgent (yet nourishing) recipes to cure the period cravings and prove that cooking can be remedial any time of the month, as well as working with each of the panelists to create delicious recipes to suit every stage of your cycle.
Joining Jessica is Sabina McKenna, creator of the acclaimed Where Are You From? project, a photojournalistic series about cultural identity creating big waves around the world. A writer, curator, content creator and model, Sabina explores the complex themes of identity and belonging through her work and wears her many hats oh so-well.
Next up, Certified Sex Coach Sex Georgia Grace is on the TOM Talks panel for her wise and wondrous ways of making the hard conversations around intimacy, easier. With a growing following of almost 30k on her aptly named @gspot._ Instagram account, Georgia G is here to answer all of our burning questions about sex and your cycle.
There’s Georgia Hartmann, Newcastle’s qualified naturopath and founder of Hormone Health Studio. Hormones, fertility and gut health are Georgia H’s bread and butter. She possesses a wealth of knowledge around topics such as endometriosis, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), fertility, epigenetics, herbal medicine and nutritional supplementation, and is dedicated to making sure no one suffers in silence. Currently pregnant with her second child, despite a diagnosis of premature ovarian failure, Georgia H can also talk all things fertility, pregnancy and post-partum with first-hand experience!
And finally, we have Sydney’s Mel Mason: the trusted online voice known and loved for sharing her own relatable anecdotes on Jeans & A Nice Top Podcast, You’re Doing Great Sweetie and The Zest is History podcast. With a rich history in Australia’s magazine media landscape and a loyal following of 20-something women, Mel’s musings around self-love, relationship highs and lows, plus her intimate experience with fertility testing and cervical cancer screening are considered, candid and quippy. Mel will be regularly contributing to our TOM Talks discussions, asking the questions we’re all thinking.
The TOM Talks Panel is here to open up these important conversations with the five compassionate and intelligent women guiding the way. It’s time to embrace our cycles, confront the uncomfortable stuff and dive head-first all things period care with TOM Organic.
