With Prince Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah dominating the headlines this week, it’s been easy to forget there is some more rather significant Royals news taking place.
Her Majesty’s husband Prince Philip is currently in hospital recovering from a recent health scare. Philip, who is 99, underwent heart surgery last week and has now spent over three weeks receiving treatment.
He is said to be recovering well from the procedure.
But it seems not everyone is following the Prince’s health scare as closely as they might be normally, given the intense focus Harry and Meghan are currently attracting.
This was seen earlier this morning when Today host Allison Langdon made an on-air gaffe about the Prince’s current situation.
Speaking about the Queen having “weathered a lot of storms lately”, Langdon accidentally referenced Philip as being “in jail”.
She of course quickly corrected herself, while co-host Karl Stefanovic could barely contain his laughter.
