An American TikTok user has gone viral after posting a video of himself admonishing a KFC drive-thru board which shows higher-than-usual prices for menu favourites.
The TikToker, @eyedealistic.don (aka Don C) posted the footage last week, which shows him driving up to a drive-thru menu and exclaiming, “I know I ain’t tweakin’, but this shit done got higher than a motherfucker!”
He zooms in to the “Family Meals” section which shows some exorbitant prices for what is traditionally seen as a cheap eat out.
@eyedealistic.don Not eating at KFC THIS SHYT TO MUCH
For example, an 8-piece family meal deal appears to cost $US35.99 ($A50.14), while the 16-piece fetches a humble $A57.49 ($A80.09). Not finger-lickin’ good prices in the slightest.
After inspecting the atrocious prices, Don C says, “Bro, I’m taking my [romantic partner] out to dinner, bro” before the video ends.
Don C’s exposure of KFC’s exorbitant prices has since gone viral, fetching 1.3 million views and nearly eight thousand comments, most of whom wrongly agree with Don C’s observation.
“Yeah KFC needs to tone that down. Their chicken is not on that level at all,” wrote one user.
“EVERYBODY is about to learn how to fry chicken at home this month!” Wrote another.
Meanwhile, one TikToker put on their Marxist jacket, commenting, “Everything on the rise! Including my blood pressure but our pay ain’t changed 🤨”
If you also feel like the price of everything has sharply risen in recent years then clearly you’re not alone.
