Thursday TV Wrap: Gogglebox Gives The Bachelorette A Touch Up

Ten’s Gogglebox continues to be a surprise winner for the network, posting 729,000 viewers and making it the most watched entertainment show for Thursday night.

Gogglebox even managed to put almost 150,000 on its more fancied stablemate, The Bachelorette, that could only muster 586,000 viewers last night.

Seven won the night – 29.4 per cent of the audience share – but was largely helped by its catch-up channels. Seven’s 6pm news bulletin (867,000) was the most watched show of the night, followed by Today Tonight (865,000), Home And Away (545,000) and The Chase (499,000).

Nine came a close second with 27.2 per cent of the audience. Its night ran thus: 6pm news (835,000), ACA (685,000), RBT (515,000), Driving Test (453,000) and Hot Seat (441,000).

Ten managed 21.2 per cent with its other highlights being The Project (453,000) and its 5pm news bulletin (326,000).

The ABC had a bit of an off night and could only muster 14.1 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Aunty’s best was its 7pm news (664,000), 7.30 (587,000), a repeat of Would I Lie To You? (404,000) and Sammy J (252,000).

SBS pulled in 7.6 per cent of the audience share with its best being Tony Robinson’s Hidden Britain By Drone flying off with 257,000.
