Thursday TV Wrap: Paramedics Kills It For Nine

Following on from the success of 10’s own ambo doco, Ambulance Australia, Nine’s version, Paramedics, is proving the surprise low-budget hit of 2018.

Last night’s Paramedics soared to an impressive 783,000, making it the most watched entertainment show of the night and the third most watched show of the evening.

Such was its success it even saw off Nine’s 6pm news (798,000) and ACA (637,000).

It also handed the evening to Nine with 31.1 per cent audience share. However, only just, with Seven agonisingly close with a neat 30 per cent. The ABC took third place and 17.6 per cent, 10 was disappointing with 13.5 per cent and SBS had 7.4 per cent.

Seven’s highlights were its 6pm news (817,000), Today Tonight (813,000), Home And Away (559,000), The Chase (461,000) and Orange Is The New Brown (286,000).

Over at 10, its best performers were The Project (389,000), 10 News First (365,000) and How To Stay Married (291,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (633,000), 7.30 (496,000), Grand Designs Australia (476,000) and a repeat of Endeavour (343,000).

SBS’ best was Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy that was the 38th most watched show of the evening with 186,000.
