Thrive PR + Communications has promoted Clare Basire to general manager of its Sydney operations, while also appointing her as an executive.
Basire takes on the role after more than three years as Thrive’s business director in Sydney. As GM, shewill continue to spearhead the office’s operations and team, as well as take on responsibility for national duties including leading client experience and service.
As part of her Thrive executive position, she will be responsible for driving new business divisions and ensuring best practice services are implemented across all five office locations.
Basire’s experience spans the UK, Europe and ANZ, where she has been employed across corporate, technology, FMCG, tourism, telco and lifestyle brands.
Most recently, she has worked with brands to build their PR and communications strategies, including for clients such as Cisco, LEGO, Optus, Are Media and Twitter.
“Clare is a results-oriented communication professional who has built a reputation of fostering successful teams and delivering great results for both Thrive and other leading agencies in the UK and Australia,” Thrive founder and managing director Leilani Ables said.
