The ridiculous frustrations of social media

Dentists getting numerous followers, taking photos of your food and numerous “vacay” pics all form part of a new video that has surfaced showing how ridiculous our social media obsessions and frustrations sound.

The one minute, 33 second spot from Spot.com follows a bunch of people as they go through the everyday frustration of social media.

At the end of the spot the message ‘time to start using another part of your brain’ pops up, before showing where you can download the State app from.

However there’s little (or virtually nothing) in the ad to suggest what the app does.

According to AdWeek, the app is apparently used to rate and comment on posts without sending your comments to social media. It then turns the ratings into graphs.
