The Marketing Department Gets Skewered In Hilarious New Ad For Plant-Based Protein Brand

There’s an old C-suite saying that says your competitors are probably 20 per cent better than you actually think they are.

And that’s the premise of a fun new spot from UK plant-based meat brand Meatless Farm.

Proof that going vego need not be dour, the brand has released its latest work that anyone who’s ever sat through a boardroom meeting would relate to.

The ad shows Meatless Farm’s competitors gathered around the boardroom table sampling its rivals tasty meat-free treats and throws up plenty of glorious boardoom clichés that we’ve probably all suffered.

Check out the fun below:

In 2018, Meatless Farm made its retail debut at 600 Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the UK before expanding its product line to Whole Foods Markets across the United States in August 2019. In June, the company successfully expanded its distribution to Australia.

It’s predicted the demand for plant-based protein will reach $A7.5 billion globally by the end of the year.

Meatless Farm’s chief growth officer, Michael Hunter, commented: “Throughout lockdown we’ve seen a surge in sales, with more and more Brits trying or considering making the swap to plant-based, even if it is just once a week.

“We felt the nation needed a bit of a lift as it’s been a tough time for everyone, so more than ever we wanted to create something light-hearted and fun that consumers would remember when they are looking for alternatives to meat,” Hunter said.
