Guardian Australia has appointed Caroline Jeppe as group account director of Guardian Labs in the Melbourne office. The hire is the latest recruit for the publisher’s Guardian Labs team.
Jeppe will be responsible for driving content solutions and sponsorship revenue for the Victorian commercial division. She brings over nine years of experience in content strategy and advertising, having just returned from New York where she worked as a senior content strategist at digital agency HUGE.
Joining this week is James Young, Guardian Australia’s commercialisation director, who will be responsible for overseeing the programmatic trading, commercial revenue and advertising operations for the local edition. Young will be focused on developing strategies for Guardian Australia’s data-driven and programmatic advertising. He will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery of ad units for The Pangaea Alliance in APAC.
Prior to Guardian Australia, Young was the head of advertising for eBay Australia where he managed all programmatic strategies, advertising budgets for display advertising and commercial partnerships. Young has over nine years’ experience and has a strong background in publishing, having worked at Allure Media and Fairfax Digital in advertising operations.
