Viewers have hit out at The Project host Hamish Maconald for his on-air interview last night with celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, labelling it “rude” and “embarrassing”.
Lawson fielded questions on the panel of The Project last night from the show’s hosts, with Maconald chiming in to ask why she rejects analysis of her cooking shows that suggests he drops sexual innuendos amongst them.
He continued probing Lawson by rattling off a few of her quotes like “My empty vessels are ready to be loaded” and “I adore the way it comes bulging over the rims”.
However, Lawson seemed annoyed at Macdonald’s questioning, arguing that her famous one-liners weren’t intended to be sexual.
Viewers also took to social media to back Lawson up, and ripped into The Project host.
