Network Ten has announced it’s launching a brand spanking new HD (high-definition) channel to air at the same time as its primary channel.
The new HD channel will be on channel 13 and will start with the first leg of the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on March 18 – meaning you’ll be able to see all the super fine details of the sports cars as they zoom around the track.
Other programs from Ten will get similar HD treatments, such as I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Family Feud, The Project, and Modern Family.
Not being able to speak more highly of HD, Ten CEO Paul Anderson said in a statement: “Nothing beats watching HD on the big screen at home and we are excited to showcase our sporting and general entertainment content in the highest possible quality.
“There has been a clear, growing demand from our audiences for HD and I’m delighted that recent changes to legislation have allowed us to bring all the excitement of HD to TEN for the first time.”
