Network Ten has rubbished speculation it is set to bring the sister show to its reality TV guns The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette Australia to our shores.
According to an article in New Idea, Bachelor in Paradise – originally a US spin-off featuring former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants isolated in an exotic tropical destination with the goal of finding love with one another – was going to have its own Aussie version.
New Idea claimed that Nikki Gogan (pictured above), runner-up on the 2016 series of The Bachelor Australia, was seen filming a promotional campaign for the Aussie spin-off in Sydney, and that Fiji will be the location for the first season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Since these claims have surfaced, the names of a number of ex-Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants have been thrown around, including Zilda Williams, Leah Costa, Elora Mugar, Sasha Mielczarek, Sarah-Mae Louise Amey, Keira Maguire and Michael Turnbull.
However, in heartbreaking news for Bachie fans, Ten told B&T this morning that New Idea’s claims were simply not true.
