Online homewares and furniture retailer, Temple & Webster, has been named the winner of StartupSmart’s Best Startup at the 2015 StartupSmart Awards.
Adding to the company’s growing list of industry accolades, Temple & Webster was last night recognised as a “very deserving winner” as it was awarded the top prize at a ceremony held at the RACV City Club in Melbourne, Victoria.
Company CEO and co-founder Brian Shanahan, said, “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved since we launched in 2011 and we’re thrilled to be recognised as the Best Startup for 2015. We owe our success to five groups of people – our customers; our suppliers; our shareholders; our families and friends and most importantly our stellar team – it’s the amazing work they do every day that enables Temple & Webster to take home awards like this.”
Fellow co-founder Adam McWhinney, said, “We’ve grown rapidly to over one million members and it’s gratifying to see both consumers and business responding so positively to our unique blend of product curation, styling, editorial and ecommerce – it’s shopping as entertainment and our audience loves it,” he said.
