Independent communications agency The Mint Partners has bolstered its senior leadership team with the recruitment of Cameron Thorburn as head of digital and content.

In the past 12 months MINT has won a number of major accounts including Vivid Sydney, The Ritz Carlton Perth, QIC Castle Towers, Cradle Mountain Lodge, Lotus Dining Group and a number of Pernod Ricard wine brands.

Thorburn will join MINT’s founders and managing directors Genevieve Taubman and Brett Galvin, along with head of strategy and operations Miranda Bryce, as part of the senior leadership team, tasked with growing new services and categories for the business in Australia and overseas.

He brings 14 years’ experience as a creative digital communications specialist having built a portfolio of successful integrated campaigns for global brands including AccorHotels, Adidas, Knight Frank, Woolworths, Facebook, Nespresso and Mastercard.

“Cameron’s experience will be instrumental in building the agency’s digital and content capabilities, while integrating in with our broader PR and communications remit,” Taubman said.

“He will lead our new digital offerings around content production and distribution, social media and digital advertising, measurement and brand strategy.”

Thorburn said he was thrilled to join MINT as such an exciting time in the company’s 12-year history to share his leadership skills and experience across digital, social, UX, paid media, measurement and production.

“I am looking forward to leading the agency and account teams to achieve impact and real business results for our clients with integrated, full-funnel communication programs across a range of disciplines,” he said.

Thorburn has been recognised in numerous global and national industry awards, including winning the PRIA National Digital and Social Campaign of the Year, PR Week Asia Awards – Best Use of Digital, BEfest Awards – Best Branded Publication, Asia Pacific Excellence Awards – Health and Global, IPRA Golden World Awards – Best Digital Publication.
