Analytics Provider Delacon Strengthens Data Privacy

Australian owned global call analytics provider, Delacon, has ensured the data privacy of its European customers after becoming GDPR compliant.

The Sydney headquartered business which has an office in London and works with clients across Europe, has been working to meet the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation which came into force in May, marking the biggest change to European privacy law for 20 years.

Notably, Delacon has now updated its terms of services for European clients, introduced a new GDPR compliant EU privacy policy, examined the GDPR compliance status of its partners and suppliers, assessed how it processes and stores data against GDPR requirements and appointed Thomas McNamara as their data protection officer and European representative.

The new regulations are designed to give EU citizens greater control over the data which relates to them.

Delacon CEO Michael Center said: “Delacon is giving our European clients confidence that we are meeting the important GDPR standards when processing the personal data obtained in the course of using our services.

“We take data privacy extremely seriously and are delighted to give our clients working in Europe the certainty of GDPR compliance.”

Australian clients will also indirectly benefit from the changes, according to Center.

“As a consequence of GDPR, our local clients can have confidence that we have improved the privacy compliance maturity level and are committed to strong privacy practices which will benefit all of our clients, wherever in the world they operate.”
