Taboola, a global leader in powering recommendations for the open web, helping people discover things they may like, recently executed a campaign for Fat Tail Investment Research to find new and innovative ways to reach its audiences.

The campaign resulted in an increase of 10,000 email subscribers in just six months at a 15 per cent lower CPA than its target, while the number of conversions increased month-over-month.

Fat Tail Investment Research’s mission is to help everyday Australians become better, happier, and more successful investors. The company has worked with Taboola for many years to access a network of premium publisher sites online and leveraged Taboola’s unique tools to reach those audiences. It is always looking for new and innovative ways to reach people interested in becoming better investors.

Fat Tail Investment Research worked with Taboola to launch a sponsored content campaign that offered lead magnets in the form of research reports and editorial pieces to attract subscribers to its free publications.

In partnership with Taboola, Fat Tail Investment Research has been able to convert audiences on premium publisher sites to valuable leads and customers at scale, using both sponsored content and video ads. It has generated leads in the form of email subscriptions to free daily publications like The Daily Reckoning Australia and Money Morning.

Natalie Wood, marketing manager at Fat Tail Investment Research (featured image, centre-right), said, “We’ve worked with Taboola for many years now. The dedicated account management team has continued to provide valuable support and recommendations that ultimately improve results across each campaign so we can continue to improve in our marketing activities.

“This time around, we were looking to generate leads in the form of email subscriptions to two of our free daily publications, The Daily Reckoning Australia and Money Morning. That was our most important key performance indicator for the campaign.

“The results speak for themselves. During the six months campaign we saw incredible growth in our email subscriptions, not to mention during this period our conversion rate doubled, and our CPA reduced by 15%.”

Adam Singolda, CEO and founder of Taboola, said, “Fat Tail Investment Research is a well-known name in finance and has shown great, rapid growth by tapping into Taboola. They have been a longstanding partner that has shown great collaboration with our team, and over the years, we’ve seen them significantly boost subscriber counts and get more people interested in their offerings.”
