Round Two of State of Origin didn’t score quite as high as Round One, but still nabbed an impressive 1.8 million viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data.

The Blues’ win over the Maroons was at least some small comfort for locked down NSW residents, and for every takeaway pizza chain in Sydney.

Nine’s pre-match coverage had 1,006,000 metro viewers while the post match dipped to 722,000.

Nestled in the middle there was Seven News, which had 1,201,000 viewers, and Nine News with 1,157,000.

Coming in after the State of Origin coverage was ABC News with 711,000 viewers, followed by MasterChef with 601,000 and 7News Spotlight: Murder She Wrote, which had 519,000.

A new season of Grand Designs netted 493,000 viewers for the ABC, while Jack Irish had 397,000. In the morning, ABC News AM and Insiders had 292,000 and 282,000 viewers respectively.

For 10, The Sunday Project had 473,000 viewers, followed by 10 News First with 339,000.

Over on Seven, the Sunday arvo AFL nabbed 438,000 viewers while Weekend Sunrise had 295,000 viewers.

Finally for Nine, Nine News: First At Five had 314,000 viewers while RBT had 278,000.

The Nine Network resoundingly won the night with 40.9 per cent of the daily share. The Seven Network came second with 21.8 per cent of the daily share, followed by Network 10 with 16.4 per cent, the ABC TV Network with 13,7 per cent and the SBS Network with 7.2 per cent.
