Sunday TV Wrap: Nine Obliterates The Competition, Wins The Night Across All Key Metrics

Nine absolutely dominated Sunday night TV, obliterating the other FTA channels in a cracking night for the broadcaster.

In primary channel share, Nine came out on top with a whopping 26.2 per cent, Seven did 16.8 per cent, 10 did 15.5 per cent, ABC did 11.4 per cent and SBS did 4.9 per cent.

In terms of individual shows, Lego Masters was the clear winner for Nine with 1.21m viewers. 10’s best of the night was MasterChef with 947,000 views, while Seven’s House Rules did 641,000. ABC’s Grand Designs NZ was watched by 495,000 people, while a repeat of SBS’s King Arthur’s Britain did 296,000.

Nine

News did 1.11m, 60 Minutes did 725,000 and Nine News: Late Edition did 451,000.

The Sunday Project did 574,000, 10 News First did 368,000, while FBI: Most Wanted did 307,000.

Seven 

Weekend Sunrise did 295,000 and a showing of Castaway did 294,000.

ABC

News did 814,000, Mystery Road did 572,000, Insiders did 325,000 while Landline did 247,000.

All channels share

Nine won the night with 33.5 per cent, Seven followed with 23.3 per cent, 10 did 20.1 per cent, ABC did 15.4 per cent and SBS did 7.7 per cent.

Demographic breakdown (all channels) 

People 25-54

  1. Nine – 37.4 per cent
  2. Seven – 24.2 per cent
  3. 10 – 23.9 per cent

People 16-39

  1. Nine – 38.2 per cent
  2. 10 – 25.4 per cent
  3. Seven – 22.9 per cent
