dentsu has announced the promotion of Sue Squillace (main photo) to chief executive officer, dentsu media ANZ, and Gayle While (pictured below) as chief digital officer within the media portfolio.

This change forms part of ongoing simplification efforts of dentsu ANZ and its accelerated growth agenda, focussed firmly on providing the right solutions for clients, with the innovation, speed and agility required for today’s consumer first digital economy.

In her expanded remit, Squillace will continue to lead Carat whilst driving and growing dentsu’s media portfolio across ANZ, which includes dentsuX, iProspect and SMG.

Angela Tangas, dentsu ANZ CEO commented: “Now more than ever, we know our current and future clients want greater access to diverse capabilities, agile resourcing models, and improved effectiveness, to be their customer partner.

“The promotion of Sue and hiring of Gayle are important moves to further strengthen and diversify our media capability. Gayle’s strong digital leadership over the last twenty years, partnering with some of the UK and Australia’s leading organisations to deliver growth and behavioural change through customer driven strategies, will enhance our momentum,” Angela said.

Prior to joining dentsu ANZ, While was chief client officer with Hugo & Cat, London, focussing on digital transformation strategies for clients such as GSK, S&P Global and Stanley Black & Decker. Subsequent to this she joined Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as Head of CRM before being promoted to CEO following successful client growth across NAB, Belong, La Trobe University, Mercedes-Benz, Myer and BMW.

Squillace said: “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to work across the dentsu ANZ media portfolio and Gayle’s experience is exactly what we are looking for to lead the evolution of digital at dentsu media.  Her expertise across the entire consumer journey demonstrates our focus on delivering integrated solutions for our clients and it’s exciting to welcome Gayle to our team.”

While added: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Sue and the talented dentsu Media team to shape and grow digital solutions that will help drive our clients’ business growth. I simply can’t wait to get started.”

While will commence her new appointment on the 2nd August.
