The real-life travails of the small business owner have become the stock and trade of many bank ads in recent times.
And Droga5’s new spot for British financial firm Barclaycard follows down a similar, well-trodden bath.
But there’s one big difference, the latest spot features the co-owners of an actual crystal shop in Kettering, north of London.
Part of the bank’s “We Take Business Seriously” campaign, the spot stars the co-owners of The Crystal Barn, Clare and Andrew Carter, who are certainly passionate about the merits of their sparkly rocks.
The spot’s equal parts trippy and surreal, but ultimately carries the important message of supporting small business not matter what they’re selling. Check it out below:
