By all reports, Airbnb’s business is booming and it needs new houses to let.
Enter a new global campaign that’s as quirky as it is cute, with the message that people who rent Airbnbs aren’t the monsters you’ve been led to believe.
The star of the ad is a family of hairy creatures that wouldn’t look out of place in Where the Wild Things Are who are holidaying in an idyllic lakeside cabin. The spot finishes with the hook “Strangers aren’t that strange. Try hosting”.
The fun spot’s called “Strangers” and it’s not entirely clear who the agency was behind the work, however, TBWA has worked with the brand in the past. Check out the work below:

Accompanying the new work, Airbnb has also released a report that shows that it now operates in 100,000 cities in 220 countries across the globe. The average Airbnb host pockets, on average, $US9600 ($A13,500) annually on letting their properties. You can read the report in full HERE.
