StarTrack Online Retail Industry Awards Winners Announced

The 2015 StarTrack ORIAS, held at Dockside Pavilion on Thursday 23rd July is the flagship awards of online and multichannel retailing in Australia that honoured the hard work of Australia and New Zealand’s vibrant and innovative retailing visionaries across 15 distinct categories.

Hosted by Richard Wilkins, the night delivered a glittery and highly energetic line-up of performances and artists including a live performance by Latino performers, Christian Guerrero + Dancers. Adding further excitement to the already colourful program, a drone aircraft flew from the main entry doors to the stage where it delivered the envelopes that revealed the winners.

Andre Eikmeier, co-Founder and CEO of Vinomofo said: “Three years ago I was sitting at these awards, looking at this online retail community of awesome companies, wondering if we’d soon be a part of it all, and then to have won last night – amazing. The awards night brings us all together, this eclectic mix of dynamic retailers across different categories, and has become something of a reunion. This wasn’t just a win for Vinomofo.”

While delivery drones aren’t yet a standard parcel delivery option, StarTrack’s general manager marketing, customer experience and business development, Theo Triantafillides said StarTrack’s partnership with the ORIAS reflected its ongoing investment in eCommerce capability to help businesses grow online.

“A terrific online shopping and delivery experience is the hallmark of every leading eCommerce business. The 2015 StarTrack ORIAS and inaugural People’s Choice Awards have celebrated Australia’s best-in-breed and we congratulate all of this year’s winners and finalists for their innovation, passion and unfaltering dedication to their customers.”

The audience was also in awe as the evening ushered in further creativity with the introduction of speed painter, Brad Blaze, who, in less than five minutes painted a large portrait to announce Grant Arnott as the winner of the Industry Recognition Award.

Alice Kuepper, event director, Online Retailer said: “It was fantastic to see the venue packed with everyone ready to celebrate and enjoy the evening. We congratulate all the winners and are so proud to support such an innovative, collaborative industry.”
